The Schulich School of Business at York University operates a state-of-the-art international campus in
Hyderabad,
India, establishing one of the most unique Canada-India educational partnerships in graduate business
education.
As part of York University-- Canada's third-largest university with over 53,500 students-- Schulich
Hyderabad
delivers world-class MBA education through an innovative 1+1 model, where students complete their first
year in
India and their second year at the university's parent campus in Toronto, Canada. This transnational
approach
combines the affordability and cultural familiarity of India with the international prestige and career
opportunities of
an AACSB-accredited Canadian business school, making it an attractive pathway for ambitious Indian
professionals
seeking global careers in business and management.
York University was established in 1959 in Toronto, Ontario, initially as a liberal arts institution
with just 76 students.
The Schulich School of Business (originally the Faculty of Administrative Studies) was founded in 1965
and has
since evolved into one of the world's leading business schools, known globally as "Canada's Global
Business
SchoolTM".
Schulich's relationship with India spans over two decades, beginning in the early 1990s with exchange
partnerships
with leading Indian management schools, including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, the Indian School of
Business
(ISB), and S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research.
The Schulich MBA in India program officially launched in January 2010 in partnership with S.P. Jain
Institute of
Management and Research (SPJIMR) in Mumbai. However, the landmark moment came in September 2016, when
Schulich opened a dedicated 20,000-square-foot campus in Hyderabad through an arrangement with GMR
School
of Business. The campus is located at the GMR Aerospace Compound near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport
in
Shamshabad, Hyderabad, India's fourth-largest city and a major hub for financial services, IT,
manufacturing, and
pharmaceutical industries. The same professors who teach in Toronto travel to Hyderabad for extended
periods,
ensuring curriculum consistency and providing exceptional access for India-based students.
The York Schulich MBA in India program is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), ensuring recognition across India and internationally. The MBA at the Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada, consistently ranks among the world's elite business schools:
MBA Students also pursue a six-month consulting project within a corporate or nonprofit organization that sets Schulich graduates apart from their competitors. Students work on real-world business challenges, applying classroom learning to actual strategic problems.
Schulich India offers two additional programs:

Scholarships are also awarded on the basis of financial need. These are in addition to the various scholarships we have mentioned above and are awarded once the student's financial profile is verified.
The state-of-the-art 20,000-square-foot campus includes a library that provides Virtual access to the Peter F. Bronfman Business Library at Schulich Toronto, creating one of the largest business school databases in India. The outdoor Dining Terrace, Covered parking, and other outdoor spaces transform the campus into a venue for both study and relaxation. The university has made arrangements with accommodation providers mostly located close to the campus. Students can stay at the university's Executive Learning Center temporarily before shifting to more permanent accommodation.
