If you have decided to study in Chennai, SRMIST is your first choice. Select a degree based on our counseling and mentoring sessions so that we may recommend the right degree for you, especially given the fact that a single concentration can have multiple variants at the university.

Eligibility Check

The university has a complex admissions process, like many other top universities in India, which we are standing by to check for you. The university requires an excellent academic record and an outstanding entrance test score. A compelling statement of purpose is also a major component of the application process for some degrees, for which we will assist you.

Online Application

Visit the official SRMIST website or the specific website of the SRMIST campus in which you are interested. This will help you prepare your optional list of preferences. We will also build this superlist for you if you are unsure of where to study for your undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Complete our PAQ questionnaire so that we may gather all the data necessary to prepare your application for admission to SRMIST. We will also upload the necessary documents required by the university to complete all application formalities. These include, but are not limited to:

• Recent passport-size photograph
• Signature
• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• College transcripts and degree
• Aadhar card
• Other relevant certificates (if applicable)

Once your application for admission is submitted, you will receive an application number for future reference.

Program-Specific Requirements

A number of degree programs at SRMIST, like other top Indian universities, have additional requirements such as a personal statement, essay, or portfolio. We will check the specific degree program details and address them for you.

Entrance Examinations

Appear for the relevant entrance exam conducted by SRMIST, such as SRMJEEE for engineering programs. You will have the option to take the entrance test as specified by the university, and you will become eligible to appear once you have downloaded your admit card for the entrance test. Our counselors will assist you during the entire process.

Final Selection and Admission

Based on your entrance examination scores and other factors such as academic record and program-specific requirements, SRMIST will shortlist you for consideration. Shortlisted applicants will be called for further interaction rounds, which will include a personal interview and group discussion.

Admission Confirmation

If you are selected, you will receive a formal offer of admission. You will need to accept the offer and pay the tuition fees, including accommodation charges, within the stipulated time frame to confirm your admission. Admission to SRMIST is based on a combination of factors, including entrance examination scores, academic performance, interviews, and counseling. We recommend that you commence your journey early because you will be required to appear for their entrance test and deliver a stunning performance!
